**Before I write about these three artists, let me just say thank you to the OGs who have been around since the early days. We’re so grateful we get to do what we do. If there’s ever been an artist you loved because …

Indie Rock to Expand Your Imagination and Shake Your Hips
Soda Blonde – “Bad Machine” This one has a killer groove. Danceable and refined, the Irish act are due for a breakout. Their second album is full of thoughtful lyrics soundtracked by fluidly engaging instrumentation. “Bad Machine” provides a singable chorus that is …
Three new tracks in the indie pop and indie rock world that will surprise you (in a good way!)
Good Morning Bedlam – “Vampire girl”-Horns! Creative songwriting! Harmonies! It’s not hard to hear why I like this song so much. There’s something about the clever lyrical concept that makes me happy. I like the chord progressions and the energy in the chord …
Three brand new tracks in the indie pop and indie rock world that you need to hear
Kat McKinney – “Sadderday”-This is a song about balance, maturity, and adulthood. It’s about figuring out how to make it in life in the craziness of “growing up” and finding what makes you happy. There’s a lot of complex emotions in this song. …

Two-Man Giant Squid – “Progress” If we were in charge of programming a hip radio station, this would be blaring each hour. It makes us simultaneously want to dance and rage in equal measure. The Brooklyn act have a post punk flare to …
Three unconventional tracks to show the versatility of the “pop” genre (when you’re not listening to the radio)
Certainly So – “Tired for a living”-Everything from the understated guitar to the inflection in the lead vocal makes this song feels like an “alt” track. This isn’t the grungy, belabored style of alt music though. This is a bright style of rock …

Blonde Bones – “Bad Dreams” Happy official start of summer! We cannot think of a better way to kick off the warm season than with this perfect track. “Bad Dreams” has a cool indie sound and an incredible croon to match. This is …
