Three new rock tracks that remind us all that ROCK IS NOT DEAD! It’s alive and well.

Media House – “Car Sales Men”
-It’s not every day you hear a song about car sales men. Also, it’s not every day that a song is actually about the title. In this case, it’s a metaphor about perception and enjoying life through the imagery of car sales. The lead vocal has a likeable quality to it. The melody is really energetic and makes it easy to connect with the song overall. It’s a nice blend of pop and alt rock elements to make an up tempo fun vibe with a bit of unconventional distortion and effect that mirrors the unsettling feeling of the relationship… I mean… of car buying.

Me Nd Adam – “Best of me”
-Booze hurts my body, drugs hurt my soul. Wow. That’s a way to express it, for sure. This song takes all of the sassiness of “sex, drugs, rock n’ roll” and makes the listener have that wry smile. “The worst just gets the best of me.” If you’ve ever had a hedonistic bent and focus on the “worst” things in life, this song will resonate. The lyrics are definitely food for thought and quintessentially rock n’ roll.

Nick Prato – “One in your arms”
-I appreciate the attitude evident in this track. It’s simultaneously confident and intimate. The expressive style of the vocal does a nice job of conveying the sincerity of the track. Some of the effects on the guitars remind me a bit of late 90s alt rock. The overall sound reminds me a lot of site favorite David Ramirez. The vocal really soars on the chorus. I think fans of folk-influenced rock music are going to find a lot to like on this one.
