Pilgrimage Years – “Daytripping” / “The Size of the Year”
At the beginning of the summer, this act hit our radar. We were blown away with their restrained and deliberate post rock tinged sound. We consumed as much of their catalogue as we could, but had to wait for their latest album release to share. Those two months dragged on, but we excitedly share it with you today. Sonically, they do dip into the post rock genre with songs clocking in at six minutes plus. Yet vocally, it has some strong falsetto styles that add another layer of talent to an already loaded act. Their music is perfect for long thoughtful drives and nights spent alone. The break down on “The Size of the Year” is worth a few dozen spins alone.
