Three wonderfully talented acoustic folk artists that remind you why you followed this site

Craig Osment – “Breakfast Epiphanies”
-This song made me crack a smile from the first time I saw the witty title. Then I clicked play and heard a wonderful acoustic guitar, which hooked me to listen a bit more. The song has everything you want in a great folk song. The guitar and vocal balances nicely. The harmonies are quality. The melodic structure takes unexpected twists and turns, proving that folk music doesn’t all “sound the same.” This is definitely a unique song with some beautiful elements that will keep me coming back to it all year long.

Logan Bowden – “Hurried”
-From the opening line of this track by Logan Bowden, I find myself leaning in to listen closely. It’s a vocal style that reminds me of William Fitzsimmons. The subtle vocal delivery works really well with the acoustic guitar element. The combination of the two makes for a product that is greater than the sum of its parts. The keys in the middle of the production hold everything together. The understated layered vocal feels comfortable. This is a sound that’s sure to find a following among our loyal readership.

Christian List – “Please”
-The chill acoustic style of this track feels like sitting down with (an incredibly gifted) friend who just sings you a personal song. The stripped down production feels intimate and engaging. It’s like sitting in a coffeehouse or small bar venue where everyone there wants to actually hear the music. List sings with conviction and expressive, even poetic phrasing. I’m not a lyrical expert, but I think this is a heartbreak song. “Darlin’ please… soothe my longing mind. Maybe some day we will meet in another world, another time.” Wow.
