Three Near Perfect Summer Ready Tracks

Temm – “Summer Song”

It is never too early to look forward to the summer soundtrack. With this in mind, let us submit for your listening pleasure “Summer Song” by UK artist Temm. Her vocals remind us of feelings we get on a setting summer sun drenched drive. It has the quirky quality of Regina Spektor. The sound is perky but also has nice summer melancholy we dig. Overall, this might be a great throwback flavored track to highlight your upcoming summer plans. We love it.

Blondes – “The Basement”

The new EP by this act is set for a summer release, and will undoubtedly find its way on more than a few fine summer playlists. What we appreciate from the UK act is how every sound gets a turn to thrive with a piercing contribution. The shoe gaze guitar that begins the track sets an indie pop base, before changing a bit and allowing a killer bass line, which in turn, leads us to the perfectly timed drums. It is difficult for an act to show this much chemistry, talent, and mature restraint, but they continue to impress. Whatever this act does, we believe will be successful because of this and cannot wait to hear more tracks like “The Basement”.

Jax Hollow – “Only the Wild Ones”

If you read our last write up a few weeks ago with Jax Hollow, you understand just how much we love this artist. She is a massive talent and a guitar virtuoso. But, with that, it would be easy to stay in one lane and never take creative risks. Luckily for us, she sets out to challenge expectations. On her latest release, “Only the Wild Ones”, Hollow shows a more folky style structure a la Sheryl Crow. The track is about exploring and branching out, and that is exactly what she does so exquisitely. This is a change of gears from her more rocking tracks, but we are totally here for it. We absolutely adore her brand of revival rock/pop.
