This Detroit act are one of the more interesting acts we have heard recently. Sonically, they sound familiar, even if they are in fact a “Different Animal” in their approach. It lands somewhere in folk rock territory for sure, but is fun and alluringly unique. The songwriting duo are sharp lyrically, perhaps because one half is the best selling author of Bird Box (the act also soundtracked the theme to “Shameless” as well). Their talent could also come from their longevity. They have been rather prolific and ever evolving into a solid act. Their newest release is set for release May 5th, and is sure to continue to catapult the act into indie stardom.
