Hidden States – “Lost Waves”
This is the rock we absolutely love. Honest and heartfelt, “Lost Waves” is dipped in the Dylan / Springsteen tradition. The UK act are driven by songwriting troubadour Adam Day who has a long history of emotional storytelling. After his former EP drew lots of deserved attention, Hidden States are prepping a new EP that is sure to further their legacy. This is an act many will get behind. In a world limited in hope, they are a shining example of the possible.
The Meffs – “No Future”
Some say that punk rock is having a resurgence. We (not so) politely disagree. Punk has never gone away, but went back to the fringes where it thrives. Take UK punks The Meffs. While having a unique and pulsing sound, the band has clearly been influenced by the style we all hold dear. With “No Future”, the act touch on social politics while building a near combustible sound. It is no wonder The Meffs are signed to legendary Fat Wreck Cords.
Missioner – “Far Away”
The Canadian based alt rock band Missioner have a carefully crafted and mature sound. The act shines on “Far Away”, which is a perfect introduction to the veteran band. We especially dig the bluesy guitar toward a Weezer style climax. Missioner are a confident and earnest act that deserves all your attention.
