Regal Cheer – “Castanets”
This one will connect with lots of different rock fans. The guitar tone alone, which is incredible, reminds us of some of the earnest post punk of our twenties. The sound teeters on combustible while the vocals show a punk sensibility. If you like acts like Joyce Manor, this is a fit, but honestly this has widespread appeal to anyone who loves thoughtful and honest rock.
Forty Feet Tall – “We Can’t Go Back To Normal”
The word “angular” comes to mind with this one immediately. The sound is tight and leans into more than a few of our favorite styles. However, the vocals and delivery rages with political energy. Inspired by events in Portland and across the country, the act sermonize with an anthemic and infectious punk infused gem of a track. We are fully supportive of their message and their rage.
