The Mammoths – “Blank Stare”
We love the different sounds in this one. It has a beautiful mix of distorted and strange sounds, all anchored by a killer bass. Vocally, it drips with New York cool a la Strokes and Interpol vibes. However, when you hear the ’70’s psych vibe infused within, it makes sense the act call Austin home. No matter how you classify The Mammoths, the one thing that is for certain is their talent and ability to completely own 2023. We may have just found our new favorite rock act.
