Thom Southern – “Strange Invitations”

We needed this brand of rock. Leaning into a ’90’s psych rock vibe, “Strange Invitations” shines with shoe gaze swagger. Carried by an infectious bass, vocally it reminds us of some of our favorite Dandy Warhols tracks. Odds are you have heard some of the young Irish songwriters work. His music has been heralded by critics and has found its way onto more than a few ad placements. After listening to this one, we both understand the love and wonder when he will completely take over the musical landscape. He is that good.
