Our New Favorite Rock Acts

The Blue Stones – “Spirit”

You’re going to want to stop whatever you’re doing and breathe this one in. “Spirit” is a beautifully tight piece of rock goodness that will have listeners engaged across the divide of genre preference. We were lucky enough to cover some of their earlier work and now the band are back with a slamming sophomore album Hidden Gems (March 19th). For the release, the act enlisted producer Paul Meany who has worked with similar acts like Mutemath and Twenty One Pilots. The result is special.

Jet City Sports Club – “Spinning Me Out”

There is something familiar with this four-piece Sydney act. Their ability to build off influences like grunge and shoe gaze, to build a more expansive indie rock sound is a testament to their talent. “Spinning Me Out” is our introduction to the act, and we are left wanting more. The guitar solo toward the climax is exceptional and shows how expansive the group are. The track crackles with band chemistry and heart.
