The Drives – “The Comedown”

Where has rock gone? While 2020 was a good year for music in general, we felt like the rock scene wasn’t as robust as previous years. Enter The Drives. With a modern rock sound falling somewhere between your favorite Cloud Nothings and Strokes vinyls, the act show a lot of promise with “The Comedown”. A track that commemorates a bad breakup (coming out a year after the event), the band show their clever lyrical work amidst a biting indie rock sound. If you want a definition of a buzz band, then look to The Drives. 2021 is starting to rock.
