Avro Arvo – “Past Life”
This one is exceptionally groovy. Listeners undoubtedly will be reminded of Foals when listening, yet this one explores new ground. Both artists share a tight mastery for sure while unpacking scorching guitar parts. “Past Life” departs into a surprising climax before bringing it all together. Listening to tons of tracks each day has made us weary, but when we come across artists like AvroArvo, we are given inspiration for days. This one is incredible, expressive, and danceable.
Ellsworth – “Dear Rosie”
We are smitten with the way this artist blends some of our favorite styles. With a nod towards the past, Ellsworth crafts country/folk/Americana tracks that are damn good. Calling it a “folk love story fit for the 21st century”, “Dear Rosie” takes its content from an LGBTQ romantic encounter. Without pandering, the artist is able to expressive a heartfelt story with a swinging sound. Her talent is palpable on this one and we are sure you will fall for her incredible songwriting style.
