3 Tremendously Expressive Songwriters

Simon Alexander – “Northwoods”

If you have yet to experience the magic of Swedish songwriter Simon Alexander, you are in for a treat. While he has quietly been building an impressive catalog of classics, his latest release, “Northwoods”, is perhaps some of his best work yet. Complete with soulful vocals, and timely lyrics, his guitar playing is soothing for this worried world. The track has a slow, yet deliberate, burn that makes listeners swoon. Your earbuds are going to want more of this. 2020 needs more Simon Alexander.

Biz Colletti – “Trust Myself (Stripped)

We were blown away when we heard the original of this track. Mixing pop genres effortlessly, the young songwriter proved her standing as a great rising talent. Now, she is back with a stripped back version that shows just how deep that talent goes. With piano accompaniment, Colletti absolutely stuns audiences with her vulnerable vocals and tremendous songwriting. She deserves every bit of praise available for this one. This version is an absolute gem.

thom.ko – “Veins”

This one is a little more upbeat than we expected from the 21 year old songwriter, but we were thoroughly impressed with the textures. Mixing electronic vibes, while still staying chill, the track reminds us of some of the best of Chet Faker. There is a lot of soul here, but never grows complacent but keeps exploring and shining with rich talent. His new EP is worth a spin.
