Weekly Best: 3 Incredible Indie Rock Tracks

Conversing with Oceans – “Life”

We absolutely love the newer direction on the latest from Conversing with Ocean. We have covered much of their releases, yet this one has a more rising rock edge that makes it absolutely compelling and a must-listen. “Life” hits like a 30 Seconds to Mars track – even sharing the act’s hope – but continues to forge ahead in new and exciting styles. This could be our favorite track from the act, if not the best rock track we have heard in awhile.

Good Dog – “Stay and Rest for a While”

The chill on this track is strong. The act is the moniker for artist Jack Hardman, who has some solid contributions from various friends. It is difficult to explain “Stay and Rest for a While” accurately. Carrying a ’70’s style throughout, complete with flute, it also is tremendously modern. The track would be beautiful with only the instrumentation, yet the vocals add another dreamy layer that swells our heart.

Annie DiRusso – “20”

Young songwriter Annie DiRusso is an expert of crafting heartfelt and arresting tracks. We love the way her newest single “20” makes us feel. Complete with an electric vibe and feedback, her vocals are confident and carry the perfect amount of angst. This is the first track we have came across from her, and it will definitely not be the last.
