David Ramirez Plays to “Heaven”

The fifth LP from Austin songwriter David Ramirez is a refreshing love note for a broken world. My Love is a Hurricane was written in a fury and inspired by a short but inspired romance. The result is a surprisingly upbeat album with his signature tight songwriting and theological overtones. All of his strengths are showcased, but after many exceptional albums, the artist has a grasp on who he is while still exploring new textures and styles. The gospel and soulful infusion makes for a very compelling listen overall, and we are ecstatic to share “Heaven” with you today.
