Cat Clyde: Brilliant Songwriting (Yet Again)

Cat Clyde – “Toaster”

If you are not hip to the work of the exceptional talent of Cat Clyde, then stop everything you are doing, and consume her catalog. All of it. Right now. We are not kidding. She is nothing short of fantastic in every way that separates great from average artists. Her lyrics and delivery on this one remind us of Conor Oberst, while her faint country sound remind us of the likes of Margo Price. An ode to smoking, “Toaster” delivers great wordplay that keeps listeners both bouncing and singing along. Her new album is out now (Hunters Trance) and we cannot recommend it enough.
