A Dreary Tuesday Playlist

Dawn Riding – “Trouble”

The music of this Oakland trio is beautifully simple and heartbreakingly endearing. The harmonies are especially affecting and showcase classic folk and country leanings with a ear to the present. Relying on their talent, Dawn Riding craft mature soundscapes brimming with chemistry and a little melancholy. They don’t try to do too much or wow with unnecessary production. This is simply old-fashioned talent spinning in beautiful time.

Filous (featuring Ashe) – “Monday”

This is perfect background music. The electro pop style is just lively enough to engage, yet not bombastic or overly produced like many tracks in the saturated genre. Vocalist Ashe brings just the right amount of life to a slow burning track. We could easily hear this on various playlists, sandwiched between more established pop acts. This is more our speed however. “Monday” brings indie credibility and genuine heart.

Drop Lone – “QLY (Quite Like You)”

This French duo has a slow burning sound that will play nicely on any playlist in your massive Spotify collection. Listeners can hear shades of more legacy acts, while a budding newness makes for some creative pop flare. The electro melody of the duo is intriguing and left us wanting to hear more from their subdued but expressive sound. Keep your ears out for more from this endearing act.
