We cover a lot of genres on our site, yet we still feel that harder and melodic rock are still underrepresented. It is not that we don’t want to cover it, we love good music of all forms, it is simply that we don’t come across many compelling bands like Portland’s Veio nearly as much as we wish. The four-piece weave together the melodic side of acts like Tool with the genuine lyrics of Thrice while still fully embracing the post-rock attitude. We get that comparing a band to the highly revered Tool is sacrilege to many, but these boys deserve to be at least in the conversation for their mature and dynamic sound creations. While sharing space with acts like these, they are still very accessible and this is definite strength.
The band is continuing to record and release tracks this year and has plans to hit the road soon.
