“Somebody’s Love”
British singer-songwriter Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, has a knack for putting to words to the urges within us. His voice quivers and breaks as cracks in the façade we show to others while gently shining a hopeful light and call for honesty. “Somebody’s Love” is patented heartbreak set to the singer in a boat, alone, on fire. Ever the artist, we have been fans of Mike since the beginning and are crazy excited for the release of the new album Young As The Morning, Old As The Sea on September 23rd. If you dig atmospheric music that is both love wretched as well as love affirming, then look no further. “Never Gonna See Me Cry”
Good Old War, fresh off the announcement of a mini tour with Joshua Radin, must understand the current state of affairs in America. Releasing a video in which the protagonist suffers a series of unfortunate events all while smiling, gives us encouragement amidst the backdrop of political unrest. While I’m sure this isn’t the full intention of the boys, it certainly did help me get through the day. With great harmonies and simple life affirming lyrics, this song is perfect for one of those days. Play it loud and cling to the hope the band provides. The single off 2015’s Broken into Better Shape, is exactly what this country needs right now. For fans of: The Head and the Heart, Dawes, River City Extension

“Ambulance”
The visceral feeling that this video provides is not for the faint of heart. A song about loss and the struggle for healing, the video is equally as heartbreaking as it is beautiful. The song drew the attention of The Walking Dead’s Ross Marquand who takes on the role of the tortured lead. This is my first experience with the boys from Stockholm, but their new album, which is NPR backed, made me an instant believer. If you like music videos to tell a story and believe that they are still a relevant art form, then take a look and be amazed.
