N. Kerbin – “The Best Day of My Life”
This is a deeply emotive track that showcases a rare folk songwriting talent. When I first heard it, I cried unapologetically. I can count on one hand the amount of times a song has moved me this way. Granted, being a parent smoothes our edges, tending to open pockets of joy and sadness that were previously unreachable. While we think parents will be deeply moved, we think the beauty of the art of N. Kerbin is his ability to access the human condition, regardless of life experience. There is a warmth and melancholy in his voice that cannot be taught. “The Best Day of My Life” is a master class in touching songwriting and an illustration of what really matters in an often harsh world.
