Goldschatz – “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve”
We love this duo and their penchant for shared vocals. When everything is seemingly wrong, tracks like these give us all something to be thankful for. The tune has a nice old timey swing to it that helped put us in better spirits, like a Holiday balm for our weary souls. It is hard not to love this classic cover.
Mike Edel x Tow’rs – “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”
The best holiday tracks are able to capture the spirit of the original, while still bringing the authenticity of the act performing. This one is a perfect example. The acoustic guitar and shared vocals bring a brightness to the track we appreciate. Both acts are some of our favorites and it is great to see how they croon and construct this one. One part melancholy and one part hopeful, the end result is a stunning reminder of holiday joys.
The Imaginaries – “Christmas Town”
Readers of our site will be familiar with this act. Their straightforward folk pop vibes are sharp and gaining notoriety. With their latest effort, the act tackle the holidays, which we think they are well tailored to do. The video will connect with the Hallmark crowd, while the guitar solo halfway through is enough to impress those impervious to holiday cheer.
