Three brand new indie pop tracks that will bring a new level of joy to your midweek

Molly Millington – “My Man”
-I’m not sure I’ve ever really leaned into the cross-section of country and indie pop, but Molly Millington makes me want to be a fan. There’s a sincerity and charm to this recording that I really admire. The lyrics are loaded with drama, but the composition style feels grounded. It’s got a layered psychological meaning to it, an almost territorial style that is sure to put a smile on a lot of faces. You’d be hard pressed to find a sweeter, softer song about fighting (or thinking about fighting) than this track. I won’t spoil it, but listen to the lyrics near the end; they’re really satisfying. This is a gem!

Dacy – “Tell Me I’m Wrong”
-If Fleetwood Mac emerged in 2026 instead of back in the 70s, they’d probably make music like this. I don’t even know if this is the right technical word, but I really like the color balance of this track. The guitars, the vocals, the beat, the entire composition just feels perfect. I think this should be a hit song, honestly. It’s got accessible lyrics, a singable hook, and just an energy that puts a smile on my face with every listen. In fact, I like it so much I’m making it my first entry on the 2026 “song of the year” candidate list. If you’re looking for an energetic, anthemic indie pop track then definitely click play on this one and get ready to connect. If you’ve ever known someone who was so pretty that they made you want to cry… then this one will resonate. It’s wonderful.

Emmett1 and Andres Garcete – “Golden Days”
-It’s really easy to hear why I approved this track right away; it just has a vibrancy and light to it that is enjoyable from first listen. I’m a big fan of the overall energy here, the clarity of the vocal, and the unique composition style. There’s something charming about the authenticity of the recording; it feels like it has air in it that feels real. In a world with so many flawless, perfectly produced pieces, it’s nice to encounter something that feels like a passion project. It’s definitely got a bouncy, expressive indie pop energy to it that I’m happy to support.
