Three more folk tunes to make your mid September even better

The Lost Trades – “Good old days”
-The easy going guitar work of this track awakens the listener from the start. The more you listen, there’s an evident CSNY kind of vibe to the harmonies. The track definitely harkens back to the “good old days” in more than just the lyrics. If you’re looking for a sound that will connect with the 60s style of folk music, this is a track that you’ll enjoy. Give it a spin and throwback those memories to the good old days.

Embleton – “Where you been all my life?”
-We’ve covered Embleton a lot in the past. The sound of this track is really well balanced, which is why it was an easy yes from me. It’s got shades of folk and pop rock as well. The narrative style really connects well, allowing the lead vocal to pull the listener in. It’s definitely an easy going style with the sweet electric guitar melody between each lyrical line, creating a calming sense between the rock elements. This track could definitely gain popular appeal if it got play time on larger radio stations. Give it a spin and a follow to help these talented artists.

Ele Ivory – “Drama club days”
-There’s an energy to this track that doesn’t really fit any genre category. It’s a bit of pop, a bit of classic rock, and a rootedness in folk that definitely connects for us. I appreciate the quality of the melody and the relatable lyrical concept. This has a ton of pop hit potential and should be given a shot. If the song resonates with you (and who can’t relate to an overly dramatic partner or person in your life), give the track a spin, a like, a share. Let’s get this one out there to more folks who might benefit from the energy and passion of Ele Ivory’s remarkable work.
