A pair of indie pop gems

Liza Anne – “Bad vacation”
-This track is about a difficult situation. The cacophonous sections help the listener connect with the angst of the songwriter. The composition feels like it could have come from the mid 80s. It’s an intriguing energy that we don’t often hear in subs and we’re happy to support. The lyrics seem like they are a bit of an expression of frustration and we can all relate to that right now.

tri patterns – “Grow”
-This track has a nice energy to it. The glowing harmonies on the chorus are really enjoyable. The crispy tone on the guitars puts me in a good head space. The layers feel like a dash of studio magic, but they come together for something that blends and defies genres. It’s a good jam that’s worth including on your favorite indie pop playlist.
