I have said that I love covers. Well, I also love Matthew Mayfield (Thanks, Greg!) and Alanis Morissette (so what?). This video combines all three of those wonderful things in an incredible video. During the recording of Mayfield’s last album, he used Kickstarter and his supporters were rewarded with more than one of these “2nd Avenue Sessions”, including “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Best of You”. This, for my money, is by far the best. The song has a really intense sound, made more intense by the quiet acoustic guitar/cello combination. Enjoy!
