Patricia Lynn and Dwight Baker are a songwriting powerhouse. They have perfected the catchy hook and colorful harmonies that have characterized the recent rise of “pop folk” music in the past few years. Their new album From the Wreckage by their duo The …

Grayson Schick – Alt-Country Gem
Occasionally an artist comes along who epitomizes the sound and mission of Ear to the Ground. Whether it is in style or mere swagger, they are the ones whose songs give verification to the need for great music sites. Enter Ohio’s native son …
Free Music Friday! James Vincent McMorrow
Hey everyone! Happy Free Music Friday! This week, we’re treated to a live album from James Vincent McMorrow, whose album, Post Tropical, received almost unanimous praise last year. This live album contains songs from both his debut album and last year’s release and it’s …
The Lone Bellow – Slip Slidin’ Away
The Lone Bellow released a new album on Tuesday and I’ll have a review coming next week. It’s every bit the follow up to their self titled debut that we hoped for. It’s brilliant, but maybe not as beautiful as this cover of …

Yesper – Senses Sensei – Esoteric, smart singer songwriter
From the moment I first found Yesper I knew he was a special talent. It’s that kind of quirky different that made everyone raise their eyebrows at Yellow Submarine after I Wanna Hold Your Hand. It’s not bad or weird different, just different …
Water Liars – “Let it breathe”
We’ve covered Water Liars here before. They’re one of the best country duos making music right now. I love that they’re totally flying under the radar while being absolutely world class talents. This particular track “Let it breathe” is gorgeous. The guitars… the …
