Felix Tandem – “Hey Now (Back to the 90s)”
-If you’re an 80s kid who spent formative years in the 90s, this song will certainly connect. The style feels like a bit of a Matchbox 20 vibe, but the lyrics are absolutely spot on for so much of life in those years. There’s a sense of contemporary politics and how it’s easy to miss those “good old days.” I appreciate how the “hey now” reflects “All Star” but also a whole group of those party bands from the late 90s and early 2000s. I feel like I should be watching this as a video on MTV… 25 years ago. It’s an absolute feels trip, that’s for sure.
