Three folk pop tunes to enjoy and share with your friends

John Wlaysewski – “Tonight Will Live Forever”
-If you ever spent a night with someone that was particularly memorable, this song will definitely resonate. The simple composition style and sincere lyrics work really well on this track. The balance between the guitar and the vocal works really well. There’s an endearing sentiment in both the lyrics and the melodic structure that I really appreciate. This is exactly what I mean when I tell people that I enjoy the folk pop genre. I hope you’ll give it a spin.

Ben Harris – “Anywhere I Go”
-There’s a brightness to the acoustic guitar here that makes it stand out immediately. The composition style is a bit more atmospheric on this track, but it works well for this theme. There’s a cinematic style to the song, with the message of someone being with you anywhere you go. There’s a romantic connotation to the lyrics in desiring to be with someone special. The overall feeling of the song has aspects of pop, folk, and emotional cinematic music. It’s a track that will find a welcome place on a range of playlists in the folk pop subgenre.

Emily Bateman – “Dreamgirl”
-This song is going to surprise you. No matter what you are expecting, there’s a style here that is absolutely terrific. The lyrics are well written, precise, and deeply sincere. The question, “am I your dream girl?” is repeated with this sentiment about someone else’s ideal of romance and connection. It’s a pledge of connection and meaning that demands the listener’s attention. The production mix on the vocal is particularly well done on this song. Bateman’s vocal quality stands out from the crowd and the writing here is on another level. This is a genre-bending sound that deserves wide airplay and to capture a considerable audience.
