George Pelham – “Miss You Already”
-Combining elements of classic singer songwriter work with a crooning sincerity, Pelham presents a unique sound here. The layered vocal on the chorus feels familiar, like a timeless pop song. Yet the whole composition feels like it could also be stripped down to a simple acoustic folk tune. The expressive lyrical concept of wanting to do whatever it takes to be with someone when your partner wants a break is really well done and relatable. Folks who have been in bumpy relationships will connect with this one for sure. The juxtaposition between the smooth melody and rockiness of the relationship is felt and sincere on this great tune.
From the Bronx – “Again and Again (Live)”
-I rarely feature live tracks, so when I do you know it has to be very good. This song – and this particular performance – is exceptional. There’s a spirit of blues in this recording that makes it outstanding and we’re happy to support it here. The guitar work has some wonderful fingerpicking. The bridge guitar solo is definitely worth sticking around to hear. One of my absolute favorite things about finding new music is when you discover authenticity; this song drips with authentic expressions of love and persevering even when it seems impossible for love to work out.
