Clay Coughlin – “Moonlight Driver”
-Fans of classic instrumentation and Americana storytelling are going to absolutely love this song. There’s a genuine Willie Nelson vibe to this sound from Clay Coughlin. The lyrics are even… Willie-esque (you’ll hear it when you hear it). The use of the guitars as a storytelling device here is really something special. There’s a controlled rowdiness to this song that I really appreciate. I love the chord progression and the style of melody here. Everything from the steel guitar to the harmonica, and definitely the banjo… it all sounds so good!
