Eastcliff – “Sweet little kisses”
-This is a romantic song that would have been perfect for me to feature yesterday on Valentine’s Day (oops, sorry). But – good news – you’re allowed to like your significant other the rest of the year as well. The horns on this track are absolutely wonderful. The groove is smooth and engaging. The combination of romantic lyrics and a chilled out style make for a satisfying listen. This is a track you’ll want for your “date night” playlist… and, honestly, for your chill out playlist as well. It’s easy going rock with just the right amount of romantic swagger.
FNTN – “Setting sun”
-If you’re a fan of hooky pop rock music, give FNTN a spin. This song has a ton of good vibes from start to finish. There’s honestly a bit of a Beach Boys element to the sound. So there’s a great lyrical image about the “setting sun” and the end of a relationship. The metaphor works well and the harmony-pop-rock style is actually perfect for it. This is totally my kind of rock music. I could listen to this and sing along with it all day. In fact, I like it so much you might read more about it in December. Yep, that good.
Zaac Pick – “Light under the door”
-The immediate comparison for Zaac Pick is Ryan Adams. But what’s weird is despite sounding like that icon of modern Americana music, for some reason Pick’s sound feels a bit more like folk-inspired indie rock. Just listen to it. Maybe you’ll hear what I mean. Pick has a sincerity in his vocal that makes the sound instantly believable and relatable. The sound overall demands that the listener lean in a little, focusing on the subtle meaning of the lyrics. If you’ve ever found hope in your life creeping in like a light under a door, this song will connect with you for sure. This one’s for a bit more of the mature crowd who has had life experience; when it hits, it hits you hard.
