Three singer songwriters to soothe your soul

Hello Darling – “From me to you”
-The folk duo harmonies are beautiful on this track. Something about the dance between the acoustic guitar and the piano really works well here. The combination of these different elements make for a folk sound that I really appreciate. They remind me a bit of a band I loved when I first started blogging called Jus Post Bellum. The idyllic harmonies are sure to find a lot of support among the folk fans on our site.

Stephen Babcock – “Jessica”
-There’s an approachable energy to this track that definitely stands out in the folk scene. I want to say that Babcock’s style feels like sitting down in a coffeeshop with an old friend just to chat. The harmonies on the chorus genuinely remind me of Simon and Garfunkel. The combination of thoughtful, conversational lyrics and approachable sincere composition makes for a track that really connects for me. I hope others find Babcock’s expressive and genuine style as enjoyable as I do. It’s a gem.

Sophia Corinne – “Fraud”
-If you’re looking for an artful type of folk music, give Sophia Corinne a consideration. The acoustic work is captivating, but the vocal is absolutely FASCINATING. There’s a mysterious energy that is compounded by the evocative vocal style that really resonates on this track. In a world with a lot of twee-influenced folk music, it’s nice to have a piece of music that can be both so unsettling and so captivating at the same time. It’s definitely one for our artful folk playlist.
