Orly Raquel – “Chaos and Bones”
Orly Raquel is one of our favorite artists currently. Her ability to compel listeners into her own expertly crafted sonic space, is rare. The enigmatic songstress shows a slow burning seduction on “Chaos and Bones”. The track is minimal, proving the adage “less is more”. She is currently prepping a debut album which is quickly rising to the top of our “cannot wait to hear” list. Orly Raquel is a rare songwriter with a compelling talent.
Katelyn Tarver – “Nicer”
There is an almost subversive energy to the music of Tarver. On the surface, “Nicer” plays like a cool indie pop song. Deeper, it shows a talented artist who can craft lyrics with near expert craftsmanship. Big outlets are starting to notice. NPR and Billboard are growing hip to her talent, and for good reason. Katelyn Tarver shows songwriting that is for all audiences.
Matilda Mann – “Glass Ceiling”
“Glass Ceiling” bursts like a sunbeam through a cold fall day. The melody here stayed with us for hours after the final note and it shows just how extraordinary of a talent Matilda Mann is. The UK songwriter recently dropped her Sonder EP, which is packed with exceptional indie pop vibes. Her crooning on this particular track is both alluring and clever, while the instrumentation is wonderfully textured and fun.
