If you’ve been around ETTG for a hot minute, you’ve seen Adam Melchor’s name. He’s one of those artists in the Rusty Clanton vein that continues to knock my socks off with new releases. How on earth does one songwriter come up with so much good music?
“Joyride” is one of those songs that will make you feel like you lived it even if you’ve never experienced riding a motorcycle with a girl you like. The expressive songwriting style is punctuated perfectly with some intricate self-dubbed harmonies. The horn work in the background steals the show for me every time. Clever, well-written, and keeps me coming back for more. Melchor just might be this year’s Jeremy Messersmith for me.
