We’ve been following Judah and the Lion for a long time, so we were thrilled to get this single from them. The fact that it features one of the most exciting artists in modern country music in Kacey Musgraves made it all the more appealing. The song has some interesting experimental folk style elements to it, while keeping a transcendental vibe to the lyricism. This ain’t no Dolly and Kenny country duet. It’s a raw, rich, “another sad song of a love gone wrong” that feels perfect for the unpolished sincerity of life in 2019.
