Tye James – “So Damn Good”
-What this track lacks in modesty it makes up in cool soul energy. The lead vocal is really solid on this one. Every time I spin it, I keep trying to put my finger on what vintage it feels like. The structure is like Stax 60s gold, but the recording style and overall vibe is a bit more contemporary. Whatever you call it, though, this is full of emotional lyrics and a beat that makes it easy to snap, clap, or sway.
