Some of you (a lot of you, actually) grew up disturbingly like me listening to the CCM scene. Emery was one of those bands that always dipped their toes in that scene, but then was cool enough to tell your non-youthgroup friends about. Here they are back with some new music.
Interestingly the new track is pretty progressive. There are some elements of prog rock and even metal in the composition here. It’s definitely not the happy go lucky power chords and a song about heaven that many of us grew up on. It’s an intriguing, complex song with layered vocals and some aggressive guitar work. Give it a spin and see if you dig the new incarnation of an old favorite.
