Folks who follow Rusty Clanton’s incredible Patreon and YouTube channel already know about his magic with music. He can write and sing with the best in the industry right now. He’s an extremely talented artist.
This song “Dirty Words” has a really fascinating aesthetic. It has the characteristic electric guitar and great vocals that is common to Clanton’s style. Yet he brings in an understated lead vocal for this one. I often compare him to Matt Thiessen and I think there’s something about this song that really fits that description as well. The introspective lyrics and hook-laden pop rock core make it a delightful track, with a bit of a melancholic haze.
