Some Sweet Christmas Covers from some of the folks we follow on YouTube

First, could you do us a solid and subscribe to our YouTube channel? We’re going to be rolling out some fresh content in early 2017 (we promise!) and are hoping to make it a bigger part of what we do around here. Second, check out some of these great tunes from our friends that we follow on YouTube. Do them a solid (is that even still a saying?) and subscribe to their channels for incredible music.

Josh Turner feat. Haley Blais – “Please Come Home for Christmas”
-This is a classic blues tune performed by two incredibly talented artists. Josh Turner is one of the best music YouTubers right now, so he’s definitely worth a follow. This song is so well done and enjoyable, complete with plenty of soul.

Emily James – “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”
-We just started following Emily James this year. This cover of a holiday classic is well done, crisp, and inviting. James has a clear vocal style that develops nicely as the song unfolds. She sings the lines as if they are her own. Where it can be easy to have gimmicks for holiday music, James keeps it classy and enjoyable with this one.

Damien McFly – “Happy Christmas (War is Over)”
-This is one of the better secular Christmas songs, so I was pleased to find a quality version. I recently found McFly, but this recording is actually a year old. Nevermind, though, because it’s quite delightful. I really appreciate the inflections in the vocal and the sincerity that drips from it. Nicely done.
