We try to stay up on all that’s current in folk and independent music, but, unfortunately, that means that sometimes we miss stuff from years ago. For example, the name DeYarmond Edison is one of those names that comes out of indie folk history that very few people know about. This is Justin Vernon, of Bon Iver, and his pals from Wisconsin from the mid 2000s. As much as I love Bon Iver, a song like “Bones” make me wish that this band had never disbanded. “And I’m so far from not caring…”
