Three indie folk tracks you’ll definitely want to hear this evening

Glenn Thomas – “Certain Things Remind Me Of You”
-Something about this track reminds me a bit of “These are a few of my favorite things.” The list of significant every day items connecting with a loved one feels good here. Thomas writes with an accessible folk style that’s sure to resonate with a lot of listeners. The balance between the guitar and piano makes for an energy that feels familiar yet fresh. This is a love song with beautiful relatability that will help others connect as well. The section with different types of grass feels like a wonderfully unique songwriting challenge that was well handled.

Beta Radio – “Halfway in a Dream”
-We’ve been writing about Beta Radio for a really long time. It’s easy to hear what we love about this sound. The harmonies are deeply satisfying and the lyrics are always next level philosophical. The combination makes for an artful, sophisticated brand of folk. It’s so much more than the jangly pop folk that so many think of in this genre. Instead, Beta Radio have a style that makes the listener lean in for connection like listening to Darlingside. If you like this track, I will unapologetically recommend that you head into their discography; this is one of the most accomplished folk artists we’ve ever had the privilege to feature. This is a welcome addition to their extraordinary body of work.

Sanna Antonia – “april doesn’t hurt here”
-If you’re a fan of introspective singer songwriters, give Sanna Antonia a spin. This track is really quite stunning in both composition and execution. Sometimes I click on a song that transports me to another realm and this song definitely does that. The beauty of the vocal is absolutely undeniable; the message of the song is contemplative and sincere. The combination of elements that make the track are really something spectacular. The blending of the natural and (perhaps?) supernatural is a fantastic contemplative, even meditative piece. Give it a chance, please.
