Heartstopping Indie Rock

Beryl – “Murmur”

This vulnerable piano driven track is a stunner. Vocally, the songwriter is expressive and utterly captivating. The instrumentation develops perfectly as the track builds to a beautiful climax. Beryl will be releasing a debut EP shortly, and if “Murmur” is any sign, the tracks will be a master class on alluring and heartbreaking songwriting.

Shrimp Eyes – “Fits and Starts”

“Fits and Starts” is a child of the pandemic. The artists used the time to record some tight, psych infused garage rock. The end result is absolutely compelling. They fit nicely into the pulse of modern indie rock, while still distinguishing themselves as original. The vocal delivery has a bit of crooning that we dig, while the instrumentation showcases intriguing influences and potential.

CIEL – “Back to the Feeling”

We love this act and are incredibly lucky to be able to share their latest with you. The haunting “Back to the Feeling” is a piece of post punk perfection. Nodding at established acts like Metric and Deerhunter, the solo project is a creative force to experience. While we absolutely love the vocals, the near combustible instrumentation toward the climax is incredible, and worth a few dozen spins.
