Three more Americana jams to liven up the weekend

Miss Leo – “Sparrow”
-If you’re looking for a timeless vocal, you need to sit down and meet Miss Leo. This track was my first introduction to this remarkable artist who is going to be a part of my life moving forward. The fiddle work, the backing vocals, and the lyrics are also all quite good. It is the “total package” in so many ways. I can picture hearing them on a small stage somewhere in the mountains where the people in the crowd all know them by name… but I can also picture them playing Red Rocks to thousands of adoring fans. This is INCREDIBLE Americana talent. Spin it now.

Willo – “Freedom”
-“The music can be just another song about freedom, are you ready?” I like everything about the energy, pace, and groove of this song. The acoustic guitar work is absolutely FANTASTIC. The soulful energy with the guitar work is a mashup that we rarely hear in music today. Something about the vibes on this one remind me of the bluesier work from James Taylor’s catalog. If you’re looking for something sweet, groovy, and transcendent, add Willo to your list and be prepared to be wowed every time.

Logan Piercey – “Gunstock”
-The thoughtful acoustic composition style from Logan Piercey on this track is really something special. In a world full of thousands of acoustic singer songwriters, it’s nice to find a clean sound that stands out from the crowd. The easy going energy works really well, especially with the vocal harmonies highlighting key moments. The overall style is quintessential folk and Americana music. A lot of music focuses on change, so it’s nice to enjoy a song that focuses on continuity and tradition.
