We don’t approve a lot of country music around here these days, so when we do you know it has to be of a particularly high quality. When it comes to Casey Kearney, it’s easy to hear that quality come through in both composition and vocal. Kearney reminds me most notably of Kacey Musgraves. The charming, gentle timeless country sound here feels quite comfortable. It’s nice to find such a rewarding, genuine sound. The lyrical theme of meeting someone at a Waffle House is sure to be the story for more than a few folks. It’s cute and is sure to find Kearney a lot of new fans.
