If you’ve ever been a fan of Jason Isbell’s heart-wrenching version of Americana, you really need to play this track. I’ve compared Bartels’ vocal to David Ramirez in the past and it seems to hold up on this track. It’s a gritty, raw, real American sentiment. This is an amazingly timely track, befitting some of the greats like Dylan and Neil Young.
