If you miss the Civil Wars as much as I do, you’ve been looking for a duo with that kind of intimacy for what feels like forever. Although Peridot are not exactly the same kind of band, they definitely have an iconic chemistry. This track “Shadows and Silhouettes” is appropriately intimate and energizing. It reminds me of young love, energetic and bright. It’s a delightful song with a nice composition and, honestly, the strings sell it as much as the harmonies.
