Two For Tuesday

SAILE – “Dreaming Of”

This artist is ahead of his time. The way he crosses genre while blending incredibly moving vocals with subdued folk sensibilities remind us of acts like Vance Joy and Andrew McMahon. “Dreaming Of” builds and builds until it totally wins hearts and ears with its catchy refrain. The track is inspired by first love, and though this is typically a heavy treaded ground, the LA artist makes it enjoyably hopeful.

The Great Escape – “Let Me Go Wild”

The word raucous comes to mind when attempting to describe this rock act who eagerly nods to jazz, pop, and everywhere in-between. The beginning unfolds like a Beatles tune before completely scorching the musical soundscape. Lead vocalist Ingrid Andersson has the perfect amount of assurance and attitude and perhaps might be the only person who could front such a creative band. We were reminded of one of our favorite acts Samfox and how they both have blues and rock infused with incredible female rock vocals. We are pretty excited to hear more from the three piece.
